For several years the Quinta Amanacer hosted mission teams from all over the US. Teams worked on a variety of projects from water and sanitation, reforestation, remodeling schools, building fuel efficient stoves, delivering material aid to sewing programs and schools and most of all being in community with our sisters and brothers throughout Nicaragua. The impact of work projects are forever in the hearts of all those who visited the land of lakes and volcanoes and those who continue to live there.
Quinta Amanecer
Quinta Amanecer, (QA as it was affectionately called) located at the 20 Km marker on the Masaya highway, was the 2nd home for the Nicaragua Covenant. The first being, Casa Amanecer in the heart of Managua which the organization outgrew. For several years, QA housed our administration and clinic offices as well as the pharmacy. Mission teams were stationed here as they worked in various locations throughout Managua. In addition, training of staff and other partners took place at QA. The most amazing thing about Quinta Amanecer is that it was truly a blessing- the entire facility was a gift from a very generous donor. In August 2018, with conditions no longer permitting our physical presence in Nicaragua; however, the Nicaragua Covenant was able to legally gift this property to the Evangelical Methodist Church of Nicaragua where it now serves as their national headquarters and pastoral training facility.
